Curriculum Development

As Ed Tech manager and Team Lead, I assisted with Curriculum Design and Instructional Design Material for the team. This led me to go through the analysis of the needs of the team and identify weak points in a unit building that needed improvement.

With a campus improvement plan identifying that there was a need to raise standards passing rate scores from 50% to 60%, data analysis was run to find curriculum weak points.

In response to that, persuasive writing is identified as a weak point. Thus, the following curriculum was developed for teachers, focusing on prominent learning theories, in order to address those needs.

Course Development: LMS

Throughout the semester of virtual learning, I created an outline template course for everyone who began in E-Learning Journey to use as a model.

Need: Create a Base Course that could be copied and used as a template for those unfamiliar with the LMS system and course and activity creation.

I was also tasked with creating activities and assessments that were effective for virtual engagement that could be created as a template for the e-learning team.

Presentation Materials: Grant Brief

What started as a collaboration with a Library Media Specialist in order to organize the data and create the presentation for Grant Proposal and Demonstration for Technology ended up being a project that required me to have a closer hand at presenting the proposal, creating the virtual overview of a grant proposal for later review for those not in live attendance.

Research Unit Curriculum Development

As a team lead, I worked with other teams to address their instructional needs. The problems that were identified were as followed:

  • Needed an organized planned for Freshman level Research writing unit

  • Need instructional Materials and Assessments that allowed them to understand and scaffold the unit

  • Had Evaluation methods and feedback methods

  • Utilized technology tools and had quick access to said tool.

  • The unit must be accessible outside of the password-protected nature of district materials.

In order to address the last task, I created a google site to house the unit in order for all material easily reviewed.

Using google suit and other educational technology tools, the research unit was built with a check-in with Subject Matter Excerpts to ensure that the English 1 Curriculum standards were being met.

Policy Mobile Learning

Need: Team I worked for needed a concise way to review the policies of attendance and grading in order for them to effectively deal with parent concerns and give them the correct information.

The requirement was that it be streamlined, and mobile-friendly to cut down training time but deliver refresher training during a stressful time.
